Fun with cousins

 

We had so much fun with our cousins this week- horseback riding, rodeoing (is that a word??), canoeing, swimming, picnicing and much more! These are some pictures from Mesa Falls- one of our scenic trips- beautiful aren't we..I mean the waterfall :) Thanks to Gma and Gpa Bennett for putting up with all of us and showing us a good time in Island Park and Yellowstone. We're so glad for family to have fun with- although we missed having our Dad and the Young Family with us :( Hopefully we'll see you all next year!

Rodeo Queen

 
We just returned from a super fun trip to Island Park- our annual time share trip with the family! One of our highlights was a horseback ride in the beautiful mountains, followed by a local rodeo that night. We had a blast overcoming our fears of riding horses (Me and Macee) which turned out to be amazingly fun! Thanks to our best friend since diapers- Aaron Portmann and Diamond P Ranch for a great horse ride! We also had to goto the rodeo in style- gun and all!

Picking Up Daddy...

 

We headed to Boise to pick up Dad today from Panama. It's been about ten days since we've seen him so we were anxious! He had a good trip, but is glad to be coming home to his girls :) I asked the girls what they missed most about Daddy while he was gone and here were there reply's:

Macee: "Going to bed with him every night..."
Jadyn: "Cottage cheese..."
Me: "Lack of sleep because I can't sleep when he's gone...I alwyas hear things go bump in the night!!"

Macee thought we should all look "SUPER CUTE" for Dad when we picked him up so we all wore matching outfits! Aren't we adorable!! Glad you're home Dad! We missed you :)

4th of July...

 
We celebrated the fourth in good old Idaho Falls again this year and oh how I love the 4th there. We havn't made it the past two years so it was good to be back. We started out watching a fun parade in perfect weather (no excrutiating heat or sunburns!!), had a delicious fried chicken picnic in the park, and topped it off with pizza by the river just before ending the night with the BEST FIREWORKS EVER!! They really are ranked pretty high now in the nation and this year was the best yet! I loved the show! Jadyn, however, did not and first tried to run away from them but then just hid under my blanket and buried her face in my shoulder the whole time. I kept havng to make her come up for air! By the end she had fallen asleep...who knows how because the finale was SO incredibly loud and earth shaking! Macee on the other hand got bored about half way through and decided to wander around looking for food or something else to do- not even noticing the huge display of fireworks going on behind her:) Only my child would be asking strangers for food while the entire town of Idaho Falls is enthralled with the beautiful fireworks display!
We stayed the whole weekend and had a blast playing with cousins and celebrating birthdays (Ethan and Jadyn). Ben couldn't make it though because he was heading back to Panama where he is now for only a week though this time! Yea! We miss him tons already! Anyway- that's all for now- hope everyone had a great Indepedence Day and may we always remember those who fought for our freedom!

Oooh I learned a new trick...

Many Kudos to my dear cousin Alisha who informed me of Goole Picassa in which I was able tocreate the NEATO picture below of Jadyn's birthday!! It took me a bit but I am proud to have a cool picture posted :) FINALLY!! I have to play around with it more- but thanks Alisha for getting me steered in the right direction !!
So as you saw below Jadyn turned two last week...yikes! We had a blast down at a place called Bass Lake that is down in the Twin Falls canyon. We swam, ate, fished, ate, canoed, ate, played on the toys, ate, and ate, and did I mention we ate?? It was a great time celebrating with our favorite friends (who happen to be our neighbors :), Grandma and Grandpa Greenwood, and Aunt Beth and her boyfriend. Jadyn was about to fall asleep in her cake by the time we got around to it- but after she figured out how to blow out candles I had to re-light them several times so she could do it again :) My how time flies! I love you my little Jadyn!
